Our client is a not-for-profit large trade association with over 20,000 members working throughout the UK across four industries in the sector. This is an exciting time to join the organisation and the role will play a key part in their future success. The Head of Policy will ensure the business group continues to respond to issues highlighted as significant to their diverse membership. This position line manages a Senior Policy Manager.

You will be responsible for raising their profile and influence amongst key stakeholders across the four nations, by demonstrating relevance to solving key legislative and societal issues. The organisation corresponds with the Government as a voice for members, increasing the impact of messages in order to benefit members in the long term. You will represent the business needs of the sector to government at local, national and European level. The successful candidate will be passionate about bringing campaigns to life and using them to ensure the delivery of business strategy.

If you have the capability, the drive and enthusiasm to contribute to the delivery of our clients new strategy, we would love to hear from you! You will have a strong track record in leading and delivering successful policy development, analysis and influencing work. You will be able to communicate clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, including decision-makers in government, regulators, industry bodies and other aligned organisations. Line management experience is a must, as your mentoring / coaching skills will be pivotal for the success of the team.
