Our client, the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), is seeking an accomplished Director of resources to lead their core operational functions and play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation.
This newly created executive position reflects UKCP’s ambition to strengthen and streamline the way they operate. Reporting directly to the Chief executive officer and serving as a member of the SMT, the post-holder will take overarching responsibility for Finance, HR, IT and digital systems, Registry and Facilities. They will also contribute strategically to organisational planning, integration and transformation across all directorates.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing strategic leadership for finance, HR, IT, registry operations and facilities.
- Ensuring sound financial planning, reporting and compliance.
- Leading UKCP’s people strategy, embedding a culture of accountability, inclusion and service excellence.
- Driving digital innovation and resilience across systems and data platforms.
- Overseeing an efficient, professional and member-focused Registry service.
- Supporting effective governance, risk management and business continuity.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Significant senior-level experience in leading multiple operational functions (finance, HR, IT)
- Proven financial management expertise, with strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and risk analysis.
- Professional qualification in finance (CCAB member organisations) or equivalent by experience.
- Strong HR and OD experience.
- A track record of overseeing digital systems and complex databases.
- Excellent people leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- A values-driven approach, committed to equity, sustainability and continuous improvement.
