This session will facilitate an open discussion on the opportunities and challenges facing professional membership organisations and their members - from changes to employment law and tax legislation to the impact of the current economic climate on consumer behaviour and buying attitudes. We will also explore the themes highlighted in Memcom’s 2024 state of the sector survey such as income diversification, organisation relevance and the membership value proposition.

Learning outcomes:

  • A collective discussion on the pain points experienced by both membership associations and their members, and how these issues are mounting up.
  • Referring to the outcomes of the 2024 survey research and wider recent political developments (e.g., change in government, Autumn Budget), we will look at issues impacting membership organisations such as:
    • Income Diversification
    • Organisation relevance
    • Member value proposition/offer

This event is for non-profit organisations only. If you are from a for-profit organisation, please email sylwia@memcom.org.uk for ways to get involved.
