The 2025 Memcom Excellence Awards entries demonstrated ambition, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the face of evolving delegate expectations and changing event formats. Whether delivering thought-leadership forums, professional development opportunities, or sector-defining summits, our shortlisted entries illustrate how expertly produced events continue to deliver meaningful impact.

The Shortlist for Best Event (Non-Celebratory) Over £100k;


British Association of Dermatologists

The 104th Annual Meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists brought together nearly 2,000 healthcare professionals for three days of scientific sessions, interactive workshops, and networking. The semi-hybrid format enabled both in-person engagement and global online access, while new initiatives such as bespoke session rooms and sustainability measures enhanced delegate experience and operational impact.


With a diverse programme spanning trainees to senior clinicians, the meeting combined professional development, community-building, and sector innovation.




Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)

The CIPD Festival of Work 2024 engaged over 11,000 people professionals through a multi-format event combining conference, exhibition, and wellbeing experiences.


Immersive content across seven stages, interactive sessions such as the AI Lab and Wellbeing Village, and inclusive design measures delivered professional development, networking, and practical insights, while also promoting accessibility, engagement, and sustainability.




Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) – Entered by Redactive

Public Finance Live 2024 brought over 600 public finance professionals together in Manchester for two days of high-value content, networking, and practical insights.


Featuring keynote speeches from senior sector leaders, interactive breakout sessions, and a live podcast series, the event combined technical expertise with accessibility, delivering strong delegate engagement, commercial performance, and a lasting content legacy across CIPFA’s media channels.




College and University Business Officers (CUBO)

CUBO’s Summer Conference 2024 at Queen’s University Belfast gathered 141 higher education and FE campus and commercial services leaders for two days of keynote sessions, workshops, and networking.


The programme showcased innovative practices from UK, Irish, and international institutions, featured a strong EDI and wellbeing focus, and engaged corporate partners, resulting in high member participation, strong delegate satisfaction, and measurable impact on professional connections and membership growth.




European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) – 2024 Congress, Barcelona

The 2024 ESCRS Congress brought together 16,247 ophthalmology professionals from 126 countries for an immersive, interactive scientific and educational programme.


With innovative learning formats, hands-on mentorship, a strong DEI focus, and sustainable practices, the Congress advanced professional knowledge, strengthened networks, and delivered measurable impact on membership engagement, digital reach, and research support.




Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) – Annual Conference & Exhibition 2024

The 2024 RCGP Conference delivered record-breaking attendance alongside engaging hybrid content, offering over 80 CPD-accredited sessions and interactive wellbeing and networking spaces.


With a focus on inclusivity, underrepresented groups, and practical challenges for GPs, the event strengthened professional community, highlighted innovation, and achieved significant commercial and strategic outcomes for the College.




The Best Event (Non-Celebratory) Over £100k Award recognises the creativity, ambition, and meticulous delivery required to produce large-scale events that provide lasting value to delegates and their wider sectors. Congratulations to all finalists for setting such a high standard.

The Memcom Excellence Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 25 September at the Royal Lancaster London.
