Membership strategies are at the heart of strong, vibrant organisations. This award celebrates those who have developed creative and effective approaches to connect with their communities, enhance value, and strengthen engagement. The finalists this year have each shown how careful planning, fresh thinking and adaptability can make a real difference to members.

Below is a look at the shortlisted entries for the Best Membership Strategy Award;

National Residential Landlords Association

National Residential Landlords Association has undertaken a bold rebrand and repositioning to transform itself into a modern, dynamic trade body. By refreshing its identity, improving digital experiences, and tailoring services to distinct member personas, the organisation has strengthened its offer and made engagement more meaningful. These changes have supported stronger growth, clearer communications, and a membership community that feels more connected to the association’s mission.

Professional Publishers Association

Professional Publishers Association has introduced a member-first approach built around collaboration, progress, and tackling the sector’s big challenges. Through targeted communications, new communities of practice, and initiatives such as the Next Gen Network and Action Net Zero Pathway, the association has created opportunities for dialogue and professional development. This strategy has attracted new members while supporting existing ones to innovate and adapt in a rapidly evolving publishing landscape.

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – Entered by Sunday

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has reimagined its global member publication, Modus, through a bold, data-led strategy. By diversifying formats across long-form features, video, and interactive content, while also reintroducing print in response to member demand, the institution has created content that resonates across a wide range of audiences. The result has been stronger engagement, enhanced member pride, and greater visibility of the surveying profession worldwide.

Women’s Aid – Entered by Intercloud9

Women’s Aid has reshaped its membership into a sustainable, strategic ecosystem that is closely aligned with organisational priorities. By redefining its Member Value Proposition the organisation has broadened access and deepened connections with its diverse audiences. Digital tools, new engagement channels, and fresh commercial approaches have all helped to strengthen value, improve satisfaction, and secure long-term resilience for the membership community.

A huge thank you to our judging panel who had the difficult task of selecting finalists from such an outstanding pool of submissions. Each of these organisations demonstrates how a thoughtful membership strategy can create lasting value and deepen connections.
