Zeinab Badawi to present the 2018 memcom membership excellence awards

We are delighted to announce that television and radio journalist Zeinab Badawi will be presenting the memcom membership excellence awards on May 16th this year at County Hall, London.

Zeinab Badawi has held many notable positions in her career. She was the first presenter for ITV morning news and is well known for her current work on BBC’s Hardtalk and Global Questions on BBC World News TV as well as other debate programmes. Zeinab originally joined BBC World News after reporting and presenting UK-based political programmes from the BBC’s Westminster studios and before that Channel 4 News. Zeinab has worked internationally over many years, reporting from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, where she covered the famine in the mid-1980s. More recently, Zeinab delved into Africa’s past for The History of Africa, a nine-part series on BBC World News. She is currently working on the second series.

Zeinab has also worked in radio, regularly presenting The World Tonight on BBC Radio 4 and Newshour on BBC World Service radio.

Zeinab Badawi is also a moderator for high level panel discussions at international conferences organised by bodies such as United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), the World Health Organisation (WHO) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

Former ‘International TV Personality of the Year’ (Association of International Broadcasting awards) and international journalist extraordinaire, we are very much looking forward to Zeinab’s attendance and help in making the 2018 memcom awards a ceremony to remember!

Zeinab told us:

“I’m delighted to be presenting the memcom awards in May. These awards rightly celebrate the positive impact that professional associations have on the public good. In this way the awards support these professions that are contributing to society as a whole.”

The annual memcom membership excellence awards celebrate the success of professional associations, membership organisations and the wider non-profit sector, showcasing the most progressive work to come out of the membership sector.

Tickets to the award ceremony, and the morning conference, can be purchased here.
