The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) helps people get back on track by protecting them when authorised financial services firms fail. We’re independent, cover all regulated financial services in the UK, and are unique internationally for the scope of the protection we provide. Since our launch in 2001 we’ve come to the aid of millions of people, paid out billions in compensation and been recognised in numerous national awards.
To deliver our strategy: FSCS into the 2020s – Protecting the Future – we need a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can succeed in achieving his or her personal and professional goals. An environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, where productivity and customer experience improve because our workforce truly embraces the benefits that diversity and inclusivity can bring.
We recruit from the widest, most diverse pool of talent – colleagues with the right blend of skills, qualifications, knowledge and attitude irrespective of age, gender, race, disability, sexual orientation or social background. We’re not just looking for people from financial services; we recruit people from a wide range of professions; from web developers to lawyers, finance to HR, project management to communications and beyond. There are a variety of opportunities available with us, and a number of business areas that could benefit from your experience.
We’ve established stretching diversity and inclusivity targets aligned to our strategy – to ensure gender parity in all recruitment shortlists; to achieve 30% female leadership within 12 months (50% by 2022); to recruit and retain older workers and to increase BAME and LGBTQIA leadership across the Scheme. We’re number 40 in the UK’s Top 50 Most Inclusive Employers 2019.
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is an organisation that makes a difference and in which you can make a difference – last year we helped 425,760 customers and paid out £473 million in compensation – so if you want to be part of our multi-award winning team you can find out more at www.fscs.org.u
