Led by Julian Smith, Director of memcom executive, our tailored services are affordable, effective, and 100% reliable. We’ll save you time, money and reputation – and we’ll also recruit the next generation of your organisation’s leaders.
Permanent and temporary recruitment
Our team specialises in recruiting for professional associations, membership organisations and the wider non-profit sector and have done so for over a decade. The memcom team are well-equipped to find the best talent across the sector, placing candidates in temporary, contract and permanent positions. We recruit for all functions across the sector including marketing, finance, IT, HR and administration, and have successfully placed hundreds of professionals in the sector.
With access to a large network, it’s likely that we’ll already have the perfect candidate in mind for you but, if not, we won’t stop until we find them.
Committed to diversity
We recognise that the membership sector has a long way to go before it is truly equal, diverse and inclusive, and
we are committed to ensuring our recruitment processes remain as inclusive as possible.
In practice this means actively challenging aspects of our clients’ job descriptions and person specifications which
might lead to unconscious discrimination as well as anonymising candidate CVs and applications. We work hard to reach
as diverse a range of candidates as possible, and we are proud of our recruitment legacy within the sector.
We actively participate in the memcom EDI workstream, which allows us to update our best
practice and procedures, and work alongside EDI experts on all of our senior appointments.
I would highly recommend memcom’s outplacement services. Personally, I felt that Julian truly cared, adopting the values of our organisation and always going the extra mile. The participants also commented on the support he gave in helping them move forward and feeling positive about it. Practically, the quality of memcom’s supporting material was excellent and the support provided in a time of crisis made all the difference.
I often attend the HR network whenever I can; it's the best part of the month for me, knowing that I'm not alone, and there's a supportive group of professionals whose brains I can regularly pick. It's like an action learning set, with experienced colleagues working with you, using questioning and listening skills to problem solve. The best part is the group also knows when to counsel and comfort.
The memcom workstreams are brilliant value. I got more out of that first workstream than in any other meeting I've been to over the last 2 years.
