Paul is lead consultant and founder of Member360. He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has passed a number of Privacy Law and GDPR exams (none of which make him an expert/accredited, no one is).
With a background in the Professional Association sector Paul has significant sector specific Data Protection & Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) knowledge and his consultancy, Member 360, is enabling over 20 membership organisations on their journeys towards compliance with GDPR, PECR and the DPA 2018, with an eager eye on the developing European E-Privacy Regulation – now delayed until 2019/2020.
Paul authors regular GDPR related blogs/articles and presents regularly at GDPR events throughout the UK. This year he has contributed from a membership perspective to key GDPR national guidance and is currently working directly with the ICO to create a membership sector focused GDPR FAQ web page to be published on the ICO website.
More importantly he’d argue; he believes passionately in the underlying ethos of GDPR – which is to put personal data back in the control of its rightful owners – our members.
As a sector, we are merely custodians of that data.
