Jane is CEO of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, the largest professional membership body working to raise standards in contraceptive/sexual and reproductive healthcare in the UK. She has led on a modernisation programme at the Faculty since 2013, enabling it to have greater impact, efficiency and visibility.
Jane has worked in the voluntary and public sectors for over 25 years including roles at NCVO, positions tackling HIV/AIDS and improving cancer care as Director of Policy and Research at Breast Cancer Care. She is chair of the Institute of Voluntary Action Research (IVAR), a charity dedicated to working with community and voluntary groups to support their independence and impact.
Jane has a particular interest in how voluntary organisations can work effectively while retaining their independence. She has an MBA from Cranfield University and believes that the ‘business’ sector has plenty to learn from the non-profit sector. She is passionate about tackling health inequalities and impressed by how much of the work of the royal colleges and faculties is done by members in their own time.
