Memcom recruitment has been tasked with finding a confident and organised Committee Officer to work for a small and prestigious medical membership association based in central London. If you have at least a year's experience, providing administrative support or executive assistance to senior managers this could be right for you.

The Committee Officer is an integral role that provides support to the CEO and the Chair of Trustees. Its main responsibility is to manage the association's annual schedule of governance meetings with a proactive forward-looking approach to planning all logistics. This is to ensure meetings run smoothly and professionally. 

What you will do:

  • You will organise briefing meetings with the CEO and other senior team members and administer all logistics to ensure that meetings are delivered professionally. This will include pro-actively planning agendas.
  • Minute committee/board meetings
  • Administer the association's processes for consulting stakeholders about standards/guidance and be in charge of maintaining accurate records.
  • You will also have a variety of duties such us responding to emails, drafting letters on behalf of the CEO as requested, setting up and managing Microsoft SharePoint team pages and organising and processing expense claims for travel and accommodation.

Depending on experience, this role can be available at 4 or 5 days a week and provides flexibility to work remotely.

What we are looking for:

  • A confident individual with a can do attitude, and strong organisational skills
  • Experience in writing minutes and monitoring actions relating to committee and board meetings will be highly desirable.
  • At least a year's experience, providing administrative support or executive assistance to senior managers
  • A proactive individual who is able to plan and administer logistics and agendas while managing meetings across a wide range of work-streams
  • Excellent time-management and workload management with ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent computer literacy of Microsoft Office especially with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience of booking travel and accommodation for senior staff as well as liaising with finance to process expense claims would be very helpful
