Entry to the 2020 memcom membership excellence awards is now closed and the hard task of judging all the entries commences today…
Who are the awards judged by?
Each year, the memcom awards are independently judged by a panel of esteemed sector leaders, verified as experts in their particular field. Each judge is assigned entries that match their area of expertise. Judges are barred from judging any entry with which they have a personal or professional affiliation or any other conflict of interest. We select a diverse panel of judges who we feel can be objective.
The full list of our 29 judges for 2020 can be viewed here.
How are the entries judged?
The judging process is entirely independent of the management of the awards in order to ensure complete integrity.
Our panel of judges carefully review each submission against given criteria. Criteria differ between categories and these were included on the entry forms. Judges can also make notes to justify their ratings.
Judges work in small groups or pairings on each award, ensuring each entry is evaluated by more than one person, and the groups then focus on agreeing a majority decision.
What are the next steps?
The shortlist for all awards will be announced on March 11th at the memcom awards shortlist party. All shortlisted entrants will then be emailed directly from memcom and an announcement will feature on our social channels and ebulletin.
