The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018, and data protection law has changed as a result.
GDPR has impacted on all areas of operation – from individual consent to the right to be forgotten, data breach reporting and subject access requests, from internal IT systems to negotiating contracts with third-parties
This briefing, jointly organised by sector leaders Adapta Consulting and memcom, will give you an overview of the challenges the sector has faced since the inception of GDPR.
This will be followed by a ‘surgery’ session that will address specific problems and questions raised by the audience – so please come armed with the GDPR problems that have been challenging your organisation.
Delegates will leave with a refreshed understanding of their data protection obligations under GDPR, an appreciation of the sector-wide challenges, and ideas on how to address these key issues.
The session will be led by David Membrey, Senior Consultant, Adapta Consulting – See his profile here
