We are delighted to announce that memcom is now the official, strategic partner of the Institute of Association Management. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2019 and this partnership is integral to our continued journey in connecting senior leaders from professional associations, trade associations, membership organisations and the wider not-for-profit sector. We look forward to this partnership furthering the support we can offer to the sector, helping us to facilitate collaboration between organisations, harness best practice and indeed celebrate the progressive work which comes out of the sector – work which shines a light on creativity, innovation, impact, fine leadership and the advancement of professionalism and key social causes.
The Institute of Association Management (IofAM) is the professional body for the senior staff responsible for the management, development and governance of trade bodies, professional institutes, societies, chambers of commerce, voluntary organisations, charities and other representative groups. The purpose of the Institute is to develop, promote and share best practice for the benefit of IofAM members and all those involved in the governance of associations. To achieve its objectives, the IofAM offers a forum for education, training and development, dissemination of information, networking and research.
“Throughout my career in membership associations, I have long advocated for senior leaders to have the opportunity to come together; to grow thought leadership in the association sector; to develop membership strategy; and to learn together for the wider benefit of association leadership. The two best vehicles I have found to pursue these aspirations have been the IofAM and memcom. I truly believe that this partnership between our two organisations has the potential to transform association leadership.” Lee Davies, Chief Executive, The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and Vice President, IofAM
“The IofAM strongly believes that memcom is the natural and obvious partner of choice and we are honoured to be chosen to represent this preeminent professional body, steeped in history stretching back to 1933. The IofAM shares memcom’s aspiration to connect senior leaders in this vital sector so for us this partnership is the perfect fit. We look forward to assisting, supporting and encouraging members in their work and furthering the success and influence of the organisation.” Debbie Hockham, Executive Director, memcom
